A First Team All-Pac 10 performer in 1999, Williams registered the first double-double of her WNBA career, dropping in 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, in an 85-63 win over Seattle on August 3.



A 1999 rookie from Louisiana Tech, Amanda saw limited action in her first WNBA season. She opened her rookie year impressively with a career high 6-point, 2-rebound effort at Orlando.



Griner owns the paint, controlling every inch of the interior by snagging rebounds at an impressive rate and rejecting shots at the rim like a club bouncer. In her first eight seasons in the WNBA, the center recorded 1,646 boards and racked up 658 blocks - third most in league history.
