Jennifer was the leading scorer for three of her four years at Mississippi, and led the SEC in scoring her senior year. She is the school's second leading scorer all-time and her sister Peggie is first.

In 2021, the fans voted Taurasi as the WNBA's Greatest Player of All Time. "This well-deserved recognition reflects her sustained excellence on the court and her leading role in advancing the WNBA and women's basketball and being a role model for young athletes everywhere," said league commissioner Cathy Engelbert.
