Name that player!

It had been a long time since baseball had seen a player of Griffey's magnitude. Combining the daring defensive exploits of Willie Mays, one of the sweetest left-handed strokes of all time and an infectious smile, the Hall of Famer took the league by storm to become one of its most popular players during the 1990s.

Robbie's AL-best 2.84 ERA and 248 strikeouts in 2021 triggered his selection as the AL Cy Young Award recipient. The Mariners scooped him up in free agency, adding a rotation-fronting horse who owns the MLB record of 1,241 SOs in a pitcher's first 1,000 IP.

Making his way back from injury early in 2019, Kyle - with six homers in the first half - looked to have no chance at an eighth straight season with 20-plus. He then detonated for 17 in his last 60 games.
