Joe Grzenda
The Twins picked up this southpaw reliever during the winter. Joe, a 31 year old pitcher, has been in organized baseball since 1955. He began pitching for Jamestown in the Pony League. The following year, he had a 13-3 record for Valdosta in the Georgia-Florida circuit. Joe last pitched in the majors in 1967 for the N.Y. Mets.

Another of the Twins' long ball threats, Earl broke his own personal home run record last season. A top basketball player in high school, Earl almost signed a contract with the Harlem Globetrotters.



Dave pitched impressive ball after joining Twins from Tacoma last July. He has a fine minor league set of credentials, he was Topps Northern League Player of the Month in 1968. Dave led loop in Complete Games, K's, Innings & was 2nd in ERA, Wins & Pct.



The hard-hitting outfielder led the Twins in homers last year. He finished in a 2nd place tie with Ted Uhlaender in RBIs. Bob was A.L. Rookie of the Year in '59.
