He's Mr. Goalie in Chicago. Admits to extreme nervousness before games, but hasn't missed one in seven years. No other goalie in all history has played that many consecutively. Three times was named to first all-star team.
Chimera was acquired by the Blue Jackets at the start of the 2005-06 season. He quickly proved his worth to the Columbus faithful, scoring a goal in his first game with the team, a 3-2 victory against the Blackhawks on 10/9/05. The forward had another offensive outburst in his first home game with the club, lighting the lamp twice on 10/21.
