Fittingly, it was Larry Bird who hit the first-ever three-point shot in the NBA All-Star Game, back in 1980. A dozen years later he was selected to his 12th NBA All-Star Team (his 10th as a starter) but, for the second straight season, was unable to play because of an injury. He was MVP of the NBA All-Star Game in 1982, and only Isiah Thomas has more steals than Bird (23) in All-Star competition.
Scored career-high 16 points against Sacramento 12/28/90...First NBA start came 1/4/91 in front of hometown fans in Orlando (7 pts., 5 rebs., 3 blks.)... Started first 11 games as senior before leaving Florida team...Only player in Southeastern Conference history to collect more than 1,500 points, 800 rebounds, 250 assists and 250 blocks.
Curry entered the 2015-16 season on a mission. He led the NBA in 3-pointers for the fourth consecutive season, breaking his own record with 402 treys. He also increased his scoring average from 23.8 to a league-best 30.1, which is the highest scoring increase for a back-to-back MVP award winner in league history.
