A smooth-as-silk performer, Hagan stands out in most departments. A whirling dervish under the basket, Cliff has what the "trade" calls fantastic moves. He possesses brilliant speed and in recent years has added a deadly jump shot which makes him one of the most valuable men in the league. Last season saw him blossom into a top passer, having a career high of 381 feeds, good for ninth place among the league's assist men and tops for the front men. A sleeper in the 1992 NBA Draft, mostly because of playing in the shadow of Harold Miner at USC, Cooper is an excellent leader on the floor with NBA-caliber point guard qualities. An All-PAC 10 selection as a senior, Cooper led the 24-6 Trojans in assists (5.4 APG), steals (45) and three-point shooting (426). He was also named team MVP for the second straight year as USC made its first appearance in the Top-10 regular season rankings since 1976.
