Standing 6' and weighing 167 pounds, the St. Louis Browns' right-handed pitcher worked in 25 games last year.

Bolting out of the bullpen mid-way through the 1967 campaign, Rick turned a 2-6 record around by winning 9 of 14 starts. The righthander tossed back to back shutouts against the New York Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates in September that year.

Eddie, who was nicknamed "The Brat" as a player, was one of baseball's best second basemen. He was known as a fellow not particularly adept at running, throwing or hitting, yet one of the most valuable players a team could have. A fighter, too. Eddie is the perfect example of a player making the most of possibly limited talent. He was expert at drawing bases on balls. Played for the Cubs, Giants, Dodgers & Cards. Named St. Louis manager in 1952.
