"Frenchie" Bordagaray is one of the fastest base runners in the National League. He came up with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1936 after a brief trial with the Chicago White Sox in 1934. In the winter of '36 he was traded by the Brooklyn Dodgers to the St. Louis Cardinals, and last year was traded to the Cincinnati Reds from the St. Louis Cardinals. While with Brooklyn "Frenchie" had a batting average of .313, and each year has managed to keep close to the .300 mark.
