One of the top infielders in the Majors, Grady has led the National League in Fielding at 2 positions. In '49 he topped the League's 3rd sackers (.975) and in '52 he posted a .990 mark to top NL 2nd Basemen. Grady never played minor league ball. He started with the Reds in '46. Grady attended the University of Texas and was spotted by Cincinnati scouts while playing for Army teams.
