One of the top infielders in the Majors, Grady has led the National League in Fielding at 2 positions. In '49 he topped the League's 3rd sackers (.975) and in '52 he posted a .990 mark to top NL 2nd Basemen. Grady never played minor league ball. He started with the Reds in '46. Grady attended the University of Texas and was spotted by Cincinnati scouts while playing for Army teams.



Pete took over in center field for the Cubs in 2024, dazzling nightly with his defensive gems and frustrating foes with his 99th-percentile speed. On August 28, he went 4-for-4 with a walk and four runs.



Record in 1950 was 8-16 in 48 games. During Bill's college days he won 25 games for the University of California, losing only 2. One victory was a no-hitter. After discharge from service, Bill performed sensationally in the Pacific Coast League. Best year was 1948, with a 17-7 record. During 1949, rookie year in majors, won 12, dropped 13, in 35 appearances. Bill is a control pitcher.
