Acquired in a trade with the White Sox before the start of the '53 campaign, Ed had the best Fielding Average among the A's regular Outfielders last year. In '52 at Memphis, he hit .289, drove in 86 Runs and stole 27 bases, helping the Chicks win the Dixie Series. Ed won a trial with Chicago late in '50 after hitting .331 with 91 Runs Batted In at Memphis.
