Hank won top honors in every minor league he's played in. As a freshman in '54, he hit a homer in every N.L. park. Last season he was the leading Brave hitter.

Albie was the most exciting newcomer in the A.L. last year. He led his team in singles, doubles, and placed 2nd in batting, triples and total hits. Albie hit only 234 for the first third of the season but bounced back with a .307 for the remainder.

After four consecutive seasons of winning 20 games or more, Red Ruffing slipped to only 15 triumphs last year. "Big Red", troubled at times with a lame arm, maintained his customary efficiency on the mound even while dropping 12 decisions. He hurled three shutouts and included among his victories one two-hitter and another 4-hitter. He pitched 20 complete games and had an earned-run average of 3.38, right up among the leaders. Ruffing has now won 229 while losing 203 in 16 years of pitching.

Ken Griffey, Jr.
