View AnswerCoffee Talk Name that player!
As 2004 opened, Mike was on course to break Carlton Fisk's all-time catcher's record for home runs. A 10-time winner of the Silver Slugger Award, there is little argument that he is MLB's greatest-ever hitter at the position. Mike was the 1993 National League Rookie of the Year and the MVP of the 1996 All-Star Game. He has hit .300 in 9 of his 11 full seasons.
With an explosive fastball and a good curve, Rogelio filled in ably both in starting and relief capacities for Bosox in 1974. He has recovered from 1973 knee surgery.
In 1966, Doug was the All-Star third baseman in the Texas League. He was sent up to Oklahoma City where he continued his fine play and earned a promotion to the majors. Doug completed the 1967 campaign with a bang, hitting .333 in 47 games with Houston. In addition to his duties at the hot corner, Doug can also play first base.
