Entered baseball's Hall of Fame on Sept. 9, 1948 at Polo Grounds by pitching a no-hit game against slugging New York Giants. Score - 2-0. Until Rex pitched an 11-inning 4-4 tie against same Giants on July 9, 1948, he hadn't pitched a complete game in two years, However, Dodgers knew they had something in this young giant and he came through for them last season. His season total was 15 wins and 13 losses.



In 39 games in 1950, winning 6, while losing 10. Began in organized baseball in 1941. Worked way up Yankee chain. Had a 16-9 record for Newark in 1943. Called up by the Yanks for 1944.
