With only one year of minor league experience, Del Ennis joined the Phillies in 1946, and he's been a regular ever since. His lifetime average of .292 and 790 RBI's rank him among the league's best hitters. Del also has a strong arm and tied for the league lead with 16 assists in 1949.



Author of a 30-save season in each League, Taylor has been more of a utility reliever since the Giants signed him in December. He carried a lifetime OPP AVG against lefty swingers of .196 to the Bay Area.



Reporting for his first chance in 1921 with a sore arm, the St. Louis Browns' manager had confidence in him. Marty played six years with St. Louis, with Detroit four and a half years and has been with the Boston Red Sox two years, managing the team since June, 1932. He was born in Chicago 33 years ago, but now lives in St. Louis. Has always played in the infield and ranks with the best. He is a timely hitter and an aggressive ball player. Batted .235 in 93 games.
