Frank was brought up to the Senators after leading the Tri-State League in Batting at Charlotte with a .368 average. In 8 games with the Nats at the end of the '51 season, Frank had a husky .423 mark. He attended Havana College for 2 years before going into pro ball in '44. He was in the Mexican League in '46 and '47, played for Portsmouth in '48 and had a .338 batting average at Havana in '49.

Batters used to be afraid to see him go in the pitcher's box, because he was so wild. In his first six years in the game he hit 57 men with pitched balls. He has control now and ranks with the top-notchers. Last year he was sick most of the year, but won two and lost two for the Yankees. In 1931 he won 13 games and lost eight.
