Hal was kept busy last season as an important member of the Sox Bull Pen crew. Showing Big League ability in his 1st year of pro ball, he won 15 games at Durham in '46. In '47, he led the Piedmont League with 19 Victories and his 13 Wins at Seattle in '50 and 16 Victories in '51 won him a Chisox promotion. In '53, he was traded to Boston and won 11 games for the Sox.



Bob is one of the biggest men in baseball, and has the strength and savvy to overpower a batter. He's a mighty good pitcher, and if he had had a stronger hitting team behind him, he could have won more games. He lost 20 in 1950, while winning 13, but the record could have been reversed. Began in 1947 with Des Moines, after 8 games with them he finished the season with Nashville. Came to Cubs in 1948.



Red is one of the best fielders, and also one of the best hitters in baseball. He holds many records in the fielding department. He appeared in 152 games for the Cards in 1952, batting .303. Red had 188 base hits, good for a total of 263 bases. In addition to his fielding records, Red has many batting records. He's been in baseball since 1942 and with the Cardinals since 1945.
