"Pete" Fox is one of the fastest men in the American League. Originally a pitcher. Fox has become one of the outstanding outfielders in the league - a timely, heavy hitter, steady fielder with a good arm, and a dangerous man on the bases. He tied for second in stolen bases last year with 23. Fox hit .295 for the Tigers last year, collecting 15 hits, scoring 69 runs and bringing 66 across. Hə has been with the Tigers since 1933, when he came up from Beaumont, and averaged .333 in two World Series in which he has played with them. He stole batting honors in the 1935 classic, getting 10 hits and averaging .385.
