Name that player!

Garret is one of only five players to collect 1,000 hits in a California/Anaheim Angels uniform.

Joe is a good young catcher. He appeared in 104 games in 1952 for the Athletics. In 1950 Joe tied a major league record for most runs batted in in one inning with 6. He began in baseball in 1945 with Philadelphia. He spent 1946 with three teams, the last one being the A's. 1947 and 1948 were spent in minors, then he rejoined the Athletics in 1950. Hit .327 that season.

If 1968 was the Year of the Pitcher, it was certainly the year of Denny McLain. Last season he won The Cy Young Award and was named the AL's M.V.P.
