In 77 games for the Reds in 1951, hitting .251, and driving in 18 runs. Had 52 hits which included 2 home runs, 1 triple, 6 doubles. Fielded .987. First played in the majors for Pittsburgh in 1947. Spent 1948 in minors. Drafted by Cincinnati for 1949. With the Reds ever since.

Walker is a left-handed batter but throws right-handed; is 6 feet, 11⁄2 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He was born in Villirica, Ga., in 1910. He has 5 times batted above the .300 mark before going up to the major league and in 1930 with Greenville, in the South Atlantic League, he reached an average of .401 leading the league in batting."



Don appeared in 29 games for the Senators in 1952. Began in 1944 with the Yankees' farm chain. Divided season between Kansas City and Newark. Spent next two seasons in service. Returned in 1947 with the Yanks. Had a 4-3 record for 15 appearances. He went back to the minors the next year and remained there until 1950 which was spent with New York and St. Louis.
