Ned is a great young pitcher. He worked in 30 games for the Tigers during the course of the 1953 season, and his record was 11-11. He could probably be a big winner if he had a better hitting team behind him. In 1951 with the St. Louis Browns, a weak hitting team, he nevertheless managed to win 20 games, losing 12. His 20 wins represented the largest portion of the Brownies' victories. Began in 1944 and came to the Browns in 1948. Traded to Detroit in 1952.
