Pitching Tips - The Recovery. Roy Mahaffey, one of the shrewdest pitchers on the Athletics' staff, advises young pitchers to be quick to recover their balance after delivering the pitch. After completing the delivery come evenly to your feet, ready to move toward either side of the diamond for bunts and slow ground hits.
