He celebrated his first season in professional baseball by pitching a no-hit no-run game for Waterbury in 1926. Went to Cincinnati Reds two years later. He spent the following year at Columbus in the American Association, but came. back to the big show with the Cleveland Indians for whom he pitched several years. He was traded to the Red Sox, later went to Newark in another deal. At Newark won 11 games and lost only 1, when he was grabbed by Yankees. Right-hander, 5 ft. 11 in., 180 lbs.
