Joe Hague: Joe is a strong six-footer who hits the ball from the left side of the plate. In 1967, with Arkansas, Joe pounded out 27 home runs. Last season, in the P.C.L., he collected 99 RBIs. Jim Hicks: Jim tore the Pacific Coast League apart last year as he hit .366 for Tulsa! The righthanded outfielder has topped .300 four times during his career. Jim has been in pro ball since 1959.
Rocchio earned the nickname "The Professor" in Cleveland's farm system thanks to his high baseball IQ. In 2022, class was in session. The shortstop educated the pitchers of Double-A and Triple-A on why it was a bad idea to throw to him. In 132 games, he tallied 18 home runs, 64 RBI and a .755 OPS.
Johnny was the best fielding shortstop in the American League in '52. He tied an AL record in '50 by taking part in 5 DP's in 1 game. In his 1st year in pro ball, Johnny hit .359 and clouted 35 homers for Muskegon. The Tigers called him up in the middle of the '42 season and after 3 years in the Service he returned to Detroit. "Skids" spent '47 at Dallas and in '48 became the regular Tiger shortstop until traded to the Red Sox in '52.
