No. 6, The Catcher's Throw. A catcher's throw to the bases is distinctly different from the throwing style of any other position on the team. The catcher throws overhand, crooking his elbow close behind his head and snapping the ball with a brisk, whipping motion. He must never throw with a sidearm or full arm sweep, as is the pitching method. The quick overhand snap gives accuracy and speed and comes only with long practice.
