Oscar Dugey, the Phillies' infielder, was born in Palestine, Texas, October 25, 1894. He began his professional playing with Waco, of the Texas League, in 1913. He was drafted by the Boston Nationals at the end of that season, and was with the Braves all of 1914 as understudy to Johnny Evers. He was traded to the Phillies in February, 1915, for Magee.
A valuable utility infielder and pinch-hitter, Mike can play second, shortstop and third base for the Atlanta club. Tops with a glove!
