Caught in 122 games for the 1951 Cardinals. Batted .251. Drove in 47 runs. Del has been in baseball since 1941 and in the majors since 1945. The Cardinals has been his only major league team. A catcher through entire career. Tied for NL league in double plays, 1949.



Playing his first year in the big leagues, the Chicago White Sox shortstop from Venezuela compiled a .282 BA.



The 26-year-old first baseman joined the Senators in the deal that brought Frank Howard from L. A. to Washington. In the minors Dick earned quite a reputation for himself. He was the California League's home run champion and RBI leader in 1961. Dick twice led his circuit in putouts while in the Dodger farm chain.
