An accomplished rally-killer, Ray got his minor-league education at Wilkes-Barre, Cedar Rapids, Dallas and Indianapolis, where he won a total of 43 games in five seasons. He's been an Indian dependable since 1954.



In joining the Chicago White Sox for the 1954 season, Cass goes back to first major league club he played for. Was with Philadelphia Athletics in 1953, appearing in 117 games, hitting .251. Began in baseball in 1943 with White Sox. Appeared in only 2 games towards end of season. Began next year with Little Rock. After hitting .356 for 54 games, was recalled by Sox. Remained with them until traded to Washington in May, 1950. Also played for the St. Louis Browns.



One of the bright young pitching arms on the Houston staff, Larry had a career high of twelve wins last year. He was highly sought after as a teenager because of his tremendous poise and potential. Larry has a live moving fastball, a good curve, and pin-point control.
