MY ADVICE TO YOUNGSTERS by Milt Bolling. My advice to youngsters who desire to become a professional baseball player is to first finish college. Obtain your education, so that you will have something to rely on if you fail at baseball. I am a college graduate. However, I obtained my degree by going to college in the off-season. I don't advise this, because not many boys I will continue their education after they have a substantial income. Finish school, then venture into the professional game.

One of the all-time great Second Basemen, Billy now passes his huge amount of knowledge on to the Dodger players. He holds many Major League Records and has played in 10 All-Star Games with a terrific over-all Batting mark of .433. Billy broke in with Chicago in '31 and was a star for the Cubs for 10 years before he joined Brooklyn and helped them win the '41 Pennant.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF BASEBALL by Don Hoak. As far as I'm concerned, "Hustle" is the most important part of baseball. Most ball players, at birth, were given the power to hit the ball out of the park. If a fellow is a good ball-player, with no power, he must do something to warrant a big league trial. Nothing stands out as much as a hustling ball-player. Teams, not players, win pennants, and show me nine, hustling, determined players and you'll have a winner.
