One of foremost pitchers in American League Broke in with Cleveland in 1914. Two years later traded to Boston with infielder Fred Thomas for Tris Speaker, then one of the greatest stars in baseball. Jones went to Yankees in 1922, the next year pitched a no-hit no-run game against Philadelphia. 1927 went to St. Louis Browns, and next year released to Washington. 1931 traded to Chicago. 40 years old, right-handed, 6 ft. tall, 175 lbs. Last year won 10 games, lost 15, pitching for seventh place club.

With 3 years of minor league ball under his belt, he broke in with the White Sox as a third-baseman in 1939 and led the American League in putouts at this position in 1940. Traded to the Indians in 1948, Bob has his best years in 1949 and 1950, hitting .276 and .291 while switching to the outfield. He took time out from baseball for 3 years to serve as a Marine pilot.
Lou began the 1953 season with the Chicago White Sox and after appearing in 9 games for the Sox, he was traded to the St. Louis Browns. In a total of 31 games, mainly in relief, he won 1 while losing 5. During World War II, he pitched with the Enid, Oklahoma, Army Air Field team, pitching them to the championship of the National Baseball Congress. After some spirited bidding, he was signed by the Browns. First came to the majors with the Tigers.
