Alomar's average never dipped below .300 after the seventh game of the 1995 season. The switch-hitting superstar won his fifth consecutive Gold Glove after committing only four errors in 643 chances on the year. His fluid fielding, his speed - he was caught stealing just three times in 1995 - and his average make him one of the finest second basemen of all-time. Alomar set an A.L. record in 1995 with 101 errorless games in a row.

1909 T206 Set cards were often glued into scrapbooks or affixed to other surfaces and, as a result, they are often found with paper loss on them from when they were removed.

Harry H. Gessler, outfielder, was born in Indiana, Pa., December 23, 1880. He started out as a ball player with the Greensburg, Pa., High School team, and then went to Mercersburg Academy. Brooklyn drafted him and subsequently sold him to the Chicago Cubs, who sent him to Columbus, of the American Association. He was purchased by Boston in 1908, and later in the season was traded to Washington. Gessler signed with the Pittsburgh Federal League late in 1913.
