In 1945, his first season in Organized Baseball, he had a record of 4 and 8 with Syracuse of International League. Spent 1946 season in South Atlantic League where he won 17, lost 6 and had a .739 percentage, tops for regular pitchers in League. In 1947 back at Syracuse he won 15 games. Last season with Reds his record read 11-8.
The Cubs acquired Len from the Milwaukee organization in 1964. A quick-moving, long-legged outfielder, Len has also had some experience at first and third base. He has good power.
Dick began the 1952 season with the Cincinnati Reds; after 11 games, was sent to the Cards. He got in 119 games for St. Louis, hitting .261. He had 13 home runs. In 1950, for the Phillies, Dick hit a home run at the last minute in the last game of the season against the Dodgers to win the pennant. Began in baseball in 1939; first hit the majors in 1946 with the Cardinals.
