There is plenty for them to love about his performance, as well. Gonzalez batted .417 in his first 15 games for Cleveland in 2022. In right field, he unleashed one throw clocked at 96.7 mph.

Carl, a wily and popular pitcher, was the only National Leaguer to enter the pitching Hall of Fame via the no-hit route in 1952. His big day came on June 19 when he shut out the Cubs without a hit.. His percentage of .700 placed him near the top and his earned run average of 2.70 tied him for the fourth lowest in the league. He's been in baseball since 1946.

Sid was in 30 games for the Red Sox in 1953, winning 6 and losing 9. His earned run average of 3.52 ranked him twelfth in the league. Sid began in baseball in 1938 and spent that season and the next with Sanford of the Florida State League. In 1939 he won 24 games and lost only 4. His .857 percentage was tops in the league. He joined the Washington Senators the next season and remained with them until traded to the Red Sox in 1952.
