Bill came up to the Majors for the 2nd time in '52... he had a brief trial with the Phillies in '49. After starting his pro ball career with a .328 Batting Average at Americus in '46, Bill played for Utica and Toronto. With Baltimore in '51, Bill hit .250 and 15 HR's. Prior to being called up by the Indians in '52, he was banging the ball at a .303 clip for Sacramento.
