Max was a member of the Cardinals' organization until he was drafted by the White Sox in November, 1948. He broke in with Cambridge in '38 and in '40 with Decatur of the 3-1 League, won 19 and lost 5, led the league with 212 Strikeouts and had the best ERA - 2.50. The White Sox sent him to Sacramento in '50 and the Braves brought him up in mid-season after Max had won 18 games on the West Coast. He finished the season out with a 5-2 record for the Braves. He's a Veteran.



A top slugger, Al twice led the league in H.R.s and R.B.I. He's the only man elected most valuable player by unanimous vote (1953). His 2 H.R.'s and 5 R.B.I.'s in the top '54 All Star Game helped the A.L. win.



Ceddanne was among an exclusive group of farmhands to hit at least .300 with 20+ homers and 20+ steals in 2023 when he was called up to the big leagues. He made his debut on August 28 as a pinch-hitter, dropping a first-pitch single in the middle of a Bermuda Triangle of defenders in right field.
