Fred was the big man out of the bullpen for Detroit last year, chalking up many saves for the Tigers. The righthander made his pitching debut in 1956, winning 11 ballgames in the Georgia-Florida circuit. The following season with the same club, Fred was a 16 game winner as he struck out 185 batters in 217 innings.

Dave possesses one of the finest curveballs in the league and with his control continually improving, it's just a matter of time before he becomes one of the circuit's top winners. The big right-hander was a winning pitcher in Triple-A competition just two years after hurling high school ball. Throughout the 1965 campaign, Dave battled teammate Earl Wilson for the club strikeout lead.

Johnny enjoyed his best season in the majors in '51 when he ranked 6th in the National League with .311 mark. He started in pro ball in '37. John had trials with the Pirates in '42 and '43. In '44 he led the American Association in Hitting with .358. After 2 years in the Service, Johnny joined the Phils and hit .281 in '46 and .273 in '47. The Phils traded him to the Reds in '48 and got him back again in '52.
