Name that player!

Harry is nicknamed "Suitcase," and while it isn't guaranteed, the nick name is said to have something to do with the fact that he has large feet. 1949 was Harry's first year in organized baseball and he spent it with Wilkes-Barre, where he hit .305. He led the league in home runs with 31 and runs batted in with 120. 1950 was with San Diego and 1951 his rookie year with the Indians.

In the majors he has compiled batting averages of .331; .335; .324 and .281. In his rookie year, 1942, he collected 205 hits, tying the major league record of making 200 or more hits in first full season. He led the AL in base hits in 1942, 1946 and 1947. He was voted the American Association's Most Valuable Player in 1941 when he hit .325 for Louisville.

Pete, who played at second, third and short for the Athletics in 1954, got into a total of 69 games and hit an even .200. He had 41 hits, and batted in 16 runs, which is a good percentage of runs driven in. He's been in organized baseball since 1935 when he broke in at third base for Washington of the Pennsylvania State League. He came to the major leagues in 1941 with the Athletics, and has spent his entire major league career with the same team. He had a good year in 1953, hitting .286 for 115 games.
