Dave is a mighty effective relief pitcher. He got into 47 games for the 1954 edition of the Braves, all but one of these appearances relief jobs. He won 11 games and lost 6. His earned run average was a good 2.43, ranking him fifth among pitchers who worked less than 154 innings. He pitched 111 innings, giving up only 87 hits. He walked 64 men and struck out 62. He began in baseball in 1946. The Boston Braves drafted him in December of 1952, then their franchise was shifted to Milwaukee for 1953, Dave's rookie year.



Jim had the best ERA on the Yankee staff last year, and was 2nd in the league with 6 shutouts. His top game was against Boston when he pitched 8 hitless innings, before yielding 2 singles in the 9th.



Bob has been a Major Leaguer since the end of '39, when he joined the White Sox. He didn't see too much action in '52, since he was called back into the Marines as a pilot. Bob was traded from the White Sox to the Indians during the '48 season. He batted .500 for the Tribe in the '48 World Series and hit .291 in 146 games in '50. Bob has played 1st Base, 3rd Base and the Outfield.
