Jack played in 12 games for Newport in '40 and was out of baseball for the next 6 seasons, when he was in the Service and was voluntary retired from the game. He came back in '47 to lead the Middle Atlantic League in RBI's for Uniontown. Jack played for New Orleans in '49 and '50 and was called up by the Pirates at the end of '51 after a good season at Indianapolis of the American Association.
Freddie was traded from the Browns to the Senators during the '52 season, his 2nd year in the Majors. Fred started his pro career with Zanesville in '42. After 3 years in the Service, he played for Tacoma in '46, Burlington in '47 and joined Oklahoma City in '48 where he posted a 305 B.A. After playing for Sacramento in '49, he rejoined Oklahoma City in '50 and had a .300 Batting Average before graduating to the Browns.
