"Eddie" Miller was headed for a great season with the Boston Bees last year when he suffered an ankle injury, and was forced out of action in mid-season. He has fully recovered, and should pick up right where he left off. The Bees acquired Miller from Kansas City last year. He was voted the outstanding shortstop in the American Association. An excellent fielder, Miller also hits a damaging ball. He batted only .267 in 77 games last year, but knocked across 31 runs. He was the property of the Cincinnati Reds until the Bees got him.
1954 was Dick's first year in the National League, after he had seen action with four different American League teams, and it was a successful season for Dick.
