Strong on defense, Larry led the Carolina League and the P.C.L. in double plays in 1963 and 1965.
Named the top player in the Western Carolinas League in 1968, Jim was the Braves' first choice in the January, 1968, free agent draft. Jim was All-City in baseball and named the Most Outstanding Player in Houston by the Astros in high school. Hit 1st big league Homer final game of 1971.
Batted .287 in 150 games in 1951. Piled up 158 base hits, including 29 homers, 1 triple and 28 doubles. Drove in 109 runs. Plays third base in addition to the outfield. First hit majors with the Giants at the end of the 1941 season. Sid was traded to the Braves for the 1950 season.
