Henry Groh, the young second baseman of the Cincinnati Club, was born at Rochester, N. Y., April 4, 1889, and started his professional career with the Oshkosh Club, of the Wisconsin-Illinois League, when he was but seventeen years of age. In the fall of 1910 he was drafted by the Decatur Club, of the Three I. League, after having, played two seasons at Oshkosh. He was purchased by the New York Club in July, 1911, and remained with that team until the spring of 1913, when he was traded to Cincinnati, where he developed into a star.



Hit .313 in 1951, and the same in 1950. In 109 games in '51. Hit 18 home runs and 14 doubles. Drove 59 runs across the plate. In baseball since 1934, and in the majors since 1940, toward close of the season. Has played for Cards, Giants and Reds in addition to Braves.



Gustavo hit safely in seven of his first eight starts for the 2024 Angels, then drilled his maiden MLB homer on September 28. He ranked fourth in the organization in stolen bases ahead of his call-up.
