In 144 games in 1951, batting .267. A long ball hitter, Del chalked up 15 home runs, 5 triples, 20 doubles. Knocked in 73 runs. In 1950, when the Phils won the pennant, Del paced the league in runs batted in with 126. A local boy making good in the home town.
