After a fine rookie year, Leo is spending this season in the Service. He had an 8-4 record at Louisville, when the Red Sox brought him up in June of '51. Leo started in organized ball in 1948 and with Birmingham in 1950 he won 18 games, struck out 156 and was chosen on the Southern Association All-Star Team. In the winter, he used to run a service station.



In 1964, Gene smashed 36 homers to lead the Pacific Coast League. His biggest thrill in the majors came in 1962, when his late-inning home run defeated the Dodgers and forced Los Angeles into a pennant play-off with the Giants.



Dave, a southpaw, started in OB with Hopkinsville in Kitty League in 1939. In his first year, Dave appeared in 31 games, winning 11 and losing 14. At end of 1941 season he became a big leaguer. After compiling a 13-13 record with Milwaukee of the American Association, he appeared in 4 games for Giants winning 1 and losing 2. He divided next season between New York and Jersey City. Next three years were spent in military service. When he returned to Giants he became a starting pitcher. In 1946 he won 14 while losing 19 - next season won 15, lost 10.
