In 1941 he was traded to Dodgers and remained with them until 1947 when he was sent to Pirates. In 1941 he had a 22-9 record and a .710 percentage.



Signing Cody for 2023 was a Cubs coup. The former National League Rookie of the Year (2017) and MVP (2019) homered in his fourth game, stroked three hits in his fifth, then went 5-for-5 on April 17.
