The Detroit Tigers jumped when they had a chance to acquire Dick via an inter-leauge deal after the 1965 season. The infielder was primarily a shortstop since breaking into organized ball in 1953. With the Los Angeles Dodgers, Dick played second base in the 1963 and 1965 World Series. In 1957, Dick's top year in the minors, the righty batter hit .398 for Pueblo while leading the circuit with 14 triples. In 1960, he hit .288 for Atlanta.
Strictly a relief specialist, Dan was Houston's busiest pitcher in 1967 as he led the staff with 54 appearances! He was sent to Okla. City (A.A.) Apr. 28, '69.
"Goldy" saw action with the White Sox in '50 and part of '51. He was then sent to Seattle and returned to the Sox at the end of the '51 season, before being traded to the Browns. A former U.C.L.A. student "Goldy" started in pro ball with Hollywood in '44. His best batting marks in the Minors were: .372 for Albuquerque in '46, .328 for Yakima in '47 and .289 for Memphis in '48. Gordon was sent to Seattle in March of 1953.
