Duane won more games in '52 than he won in his previous 2 seasons in the A.L. as a Browne and Yankee. The son of a former Cincinnati and Detroit Hurler, Duane broke into organized ball with Newark of the International League in '46. He turned in his best record of his career at Portland of the P.C.L. in '48... a 14-11 mark. The Yanks had him up for a short stay in '49 and traded him to the Browns in a 7-player deal in June of '50.



Harry came in to his own with the Reds last year. He began in organized baseball in 1942. In 1946 with Ogden of the Pioneer League he won 23 games and lost only 6 for a percentage of .793. He joined the Reds at the end of the 1947 season. He won 22 with Tulsa in 1948. Rejoined the Reds at the end of the 1949 season and has been with them ever since.



Leading the Tigers in Homers, Ray hit more round trippers in '53 than in his 3 previous seasons combined! Breaking into pro ball with Wausau in '42, he hit .306 and spent the next three years in Service. In 87 games with Oklahoma City in '48, Ray batted .355 and joined the Indians that season. With Cleveland in '50 he hit .301.
