Only one batsman stood between him and a no-hit game on August 5, 1932. With two out in the 9th inning, Sheriff Harris singled, to mar the pitching performance. Bridges has also turned in a number of other sterling performances. He is a right-hander, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. Is 26 years old. Went to the Detroit Club from Evansville, Ind., in 1930. Last year won 14 games and lost 12 for a club which finished fifth. Was pitching for the University of Tennessee, when he signed his first professional contract.



George W. Perring, shortstop of the Kansas City Federal League Club, was born at Sharon, Wis., on August 13, 1884. He entered Beloit, Wis., College, and left there in 1905 to join the Beloit Club of the Wisconsin State League. Beloit sold Perring to Omaha, of the Western League, at the end of 1905, and he played with Ömaha in 1906. Omaha sold him to Cleveland American League Club in 1906, but that club farmed him to Toledo American Association team in the early part of 1907. He was recalled in 1908, and remained with Cleveland until the latter part of 1910, when he was purchased by Columbus American Association team. He played in Columbus until the spring of 1914, when he jumped to the Kansas City Federals.



The righthander became a key figure in the Angel bullpen in '65. Aubrey was originally the property of the Tigers and the Mets.
