Tho' not a big man, Roy has a big variety of pitches. In 5 minor league seasons he averaged 16 wins a year. Roy rejoined Pittsburgh in '55 to help strengthen their pitching staff.



Hurled two no-hit games in succession in 1938 for all-time Major league mark. Won 15 games that year. Last season recovered some of his old-time form - winning 17 and losing 14 for a 3.41 earned-run average. Fanned 120 batters but walked 124 - top in the National league.



The 1909 T206 Set received its name from Jefferson Burdick, author of the American Card Catalog. ‘T’ in the T206 name stood for 20th century tobacco issues while ‘206’ was simply a number assigned to it.
