Trea left Washington last July with a share of its leadoff home run record (15), but his speed was just as precious to the Dodgers. His notable 2021 streaks included those for runs (13 games) and hits (16).



Matt, a fiery catcher, has been in the majors since the end of the 1947 season when he joined the Boston Red Sox. He remained with the Red Sox until July 1951, when he was traded to the St. Louis Browns. The Browns sent him to the Tigers in February 1952. He hit .314 for 46 games in 1948 and .285 for 90 games in 1951. Began in baseball in 1942.



Injuries to a couple of Met regulars gave Kevin his big opportunity in 1968. He appeared in 58 games and flashed a brilliant glove at both second and third base. Kevin is a line-drive hitter and will be battling for the hot corner slot this year.
